Defined Contribution Plans (MSA, MRA, HRA, Cafeteria Plans)

ACH has skilled individuals who can direct you to the plans and provider who can minimize your investment in health care while maximizing the satisfaction of the employees. Defined contribution plans can be funded by either the employer, employees or both. The objective is to provide the highest quality at the lowest cost, we can show you how to maximize your health care dollars.

These plans are popular because they provide employers more control over costs to be paid. You ultimately have the opportunity to decide what expenses will be reimbursed. The most common approach in utilizing a HRA is to choose a health plan with a high deductible. The high deductible means lower monthly premiums. The savings in lower monthly premiums is used to offset the balance of the employee’s deductible costs.

For example: The current medical plan has a $500 deductible per employee. The new medical plan has a deductible of $2,000 per employee. The employee would be responsible for paying their $500 portion of the deductible first. The difference is $1,500 per employee which is paid for by the employer using the savings from lower monthly premiums. On average, only 35% of employees reach their deductible amount. The savings to the employer can be significant based on an effective plan design.

Specific Captive Plans
Providers: Aetna, United Health

This is an HMO Plan available in most areas, to all employees who work at least an average of 25 hours per week. Prescription coverage is optional. The cost of the medical coverage is based on individual, employee and spouse, employee and children, or family coverage.



Dental Insurance
Providers: Cigna Dental, Delta Dental & Dental Decisions

Every employee has the option to elect dental insurance, if they work at least an average of 25 hours per week. These are voluntary plans and include DHMO, (in-network Providers), PPO and an indemnity plan (for out of network providers)



General PPO Plans
